Did anybody else see the brilliant programme about Alex Zanardi, and how he has dealt with life since losing his legs in that terrible accident? His hero is a guy of 82 who has lost his legs and is walking on prosthetic legs. "I see him," says Alex, "and I think I hope I can be like him when I am 82."

Oh...forgot to mention Alex drives a BMW in the European saloon car championships, and helps design his own legs (painted to look like a opair of jeans)

Yes Helen we saw the prog a few months ago. Must admit it brought tears to my eyes, but alex was totally inspirational. I remembered seeing the accident and could not believe the courage and determination that he has shown since.

cheers,
Stella

Read his book girls.

OK, so it's neither two nor three wheels, but it's racing and it's seriously good!!

He's always come across as a real nice guy, and is a massive fan of MotoGP too! I think he won the Indy Cars Championship twice - top bloke and an inspiration to everyone
