Junior Lightweight Classic Race - Anonymous - 31-08-2005 Start Delayed - Anonymous - 31-08-2005 It has just been announced that there will be delay of 30 minutes due to mist on the mountain. But seriously, very heavy mist past eastwards from Balbriggan, North Dublin last night. Hope this clears up soon and all have safe racing today in both races (Come on Keith Costello - we're rooting for ya!) They are followed by Roy Richardson and Derek Whalley, then Andy Russell and Bob Price, next is John Goodall and Richard Britton, then Alan Oversby and Doug Snow, Dave Madsen-Mygdal and Bob Millinship. John Barton, then Mark Parrett, Tim Johnson and Denis Gallagher, Jamie Crumpton and Graham Rhodes Glen Helen - Lap 1 - Anonymous - 31-08-2005 Through comes Roy Richardson and Chris McGahan together leading on the road with Wattie behind them a little way back, next is Bob Price and John Goodall, Andy Russell Richard Brittona nd Dave Madsen-Mygdal, Johnnie Barton and mark Parrett, Tim Johnsone and Denis Gallagher, Graham Rhodes now comes through, Elwood, Hawkins, all follow Placings Richardson (+9) McGahan Snow Oversby Cawte Madsen-Mygdal Johnson Millinship Parrett Gallagher Ramsey - Lap 1 - Anonymous - 31-08-2005 First to appear at the hairpin is Richardson, then a gap to Chris McGahan next a long way back is Oversby then Wattie Brown and John Goodall and Bob Price, Andy Russell and Dave Madsen-Mygdal all together. Then comes Tim Johnson, next is Britton, Parrett, Gallagher and Barton, then Doug Snow out at Ballaugh, Derek Whalley out Crumpton out Placings Richardson (+19.6) McGahan Oversby Cawte Johnson Madsen-Mygdal Parrett Millinship Gallagher Goodall Wood Price Whitwell Grandstand End of Lap 1 - Anonymous - 31-08-2005 Richardson goes through quite some way in front of Chris McGahan and clocks 113.9 mph over the line. Then comes Mcgahan, now a long wait for Oversby and again for Placings Richardson (+36.9) McGahan Sorry for the gap, lost the link to the net. Ramsey - Lap 2 - Anonymous - 31-08-2005 Richardson goes out yet again, this time at Ballaugh. Bud Jackson is out at Ramsey McGahan comes through leading on the road and in the race. A very long way back to Oversby, then Madsen-Mydgal, the Goodall and Parrett, then a long gap to Cawte Placings McGahan (+27) Cawte Oversby Johnson Parrett Madsen-Mygdal Goodall Millinship Price Russell Rhodes Grandstand - End of Lap 2 - Anonymous - 31-08-2005 Richard Britton out at Sulby. Hawkins Stott Taylor Williams Reynolds are all retirements Parrett is out at Signpost on lap 2. Wattie Brown out at the Gooseneck McGahan comes through with a 99.79 mph average, then it's Oversby a long way behind, next it's Johnson and Goodall together. Now it's Russell and Price followed by Millinship, Placings McGahan (+30) Cawte Johnson Oversby Madsen-Mygdal Goodall Millinship Russell Price Whitwell Glen Helen - Lap 3 - Anonymous - 31-08-2005 McGahan comes through looking good. A long way back comes Oversby, then it's Goodall, Cawte and Millinship, Placings McGahan Cawte Johnson Oversby Madsen-Mygdal Goodall Barry Wood Millinship Price Rhodes Whitwell Ramsey - Lap 3 - Anonymous - 31-08-2005 McGahan still way out in front and away up the hill towards the Gooseneck. A very long way back to Oversby, then it's Johnson and Goodall with Madsen-Mygdal right behind him. Cawte comes through but stalls it on the apex of the corner, he gets it going again and he is off up the hill. Now it's Millinship, then Price; now Rhodes comes through Placings McGahan (+36) Cawte Johnson Oversby Madsen-Mygdal Goodall Millinship Price Rhodes Placings (lightweight 250 - end of lap 2) Hamilton Kneen Wakefield Smith Grandstand - End of Lap 3 - Anonymous - 31-08-2005 McGahan over the line and away to start his last lap 100.06 mph average. John Goodall and Dave Madsen-Mygdal go through now, then it's Cawte, next Geoff bates retired. Placings McGahan (+53) Cawte Johnson Oversby Madsen-Mygdal Goodall Millinship Price Glen Helen - Last Lap - Anonymous - 31-08-2005 McGahan goes through safely. A very long way back on the road is Oversby and Johnson together, then Goodall and Madsen-Mygdal, next is Cawte on his own, a gap to Millinship, then Price, a long way back to Rhodes. Placings McGahan (+57) Cawte Johnson Oversby Madsen-Mygdal Goodall Millinship Price Whitwell Rhodes Ramsey - Last Lap - Anonymous - 31-08-2005 And McGahan comes through looking as if all he has to do is just nurse it over the mountain and he will claim his second Junior win in two years. Next is Johnson, then Oversby behind him, next comes Madsen-Mygdal and Goodall together, a gap to Cawte, then a gap to Millinship, Norman Kneen retires.
