A Woggle is a slow back and forward motion. A Vibration is a very fast back and forward motion. If you are still confused ask your Wife/girl friend/partner, she/he will let you into the secret. STEP 1 Completely slacken the low & high cable adjusters at the P/V motor end. STEP 2 Operate the P/V motor to high & then low, several times with the checker unit/kill switch (RS250 1999 by disconnecting/reconnecting the orange power jet carb plug), then set the P/V motor to the high position (leave the kill switch in the On position) STEP 3 Adust the low cable (at the P/V motor end) until the pulley starts to Woggle (slow back and forward motion). STEP 4 Continue to adjust the low cable until the pulley stops Woggling (slow back and forward motion) and starts vibrating (very fast back & forward motion). Lock the low cable adjuster nuts off. STEP 5 Adjust the high cable (at the P/V motor end) until the pulley starts to woggle STEP 6 Continue to adjust the high cable until it stops woggling. Turn the adjuster one half turn more and lock the high cable adjuster nuts off. STEP 7 Set the P/V motor to the low position (leave the kill switch in the On position), the pulley must not be vibrating it should be still. STEP 8 Set the P/V motor to the high position (leave the kill switch in the On position), the pulley must not be vibrating it should be still. STEP 9 Check that the P/V linkage arms meeting the P/V stoppers on the cylinders, both must be touching. STEP 10 Sitback, have a cup of tea and talk to anyone that will listen about the finer points of Woggles and Vibrators. NOTES #1 All the above directions are for setting the Power Valves with the HRC P/V checker unit, which is connected to the wire harness plug situated under the clock mount bracket. Connect the valve checker to the white plug with the RED & GREEN wires. [B]DO NOT CONNECT THE CHECKER UNIT BATTERY TO THE GREEN PLUG WITH PINK AND GREEN WIRES OR THE WHITE PLUG WITH THE BLACK AND RED WIRES./B] #2 The Power Valve linkage rods, stoppers and cable adjusters must be set/checked to/for the correct lenghts and positions (as per the HRC RS250 manual) before the P/V check is carried out. Hope this helps  - mikec - 08-12-2005 Thanks for that Tel, had a feeling that you would know, info has been passed on, mike |
