UTV...help? - thewitch - 17-05-2006

I've got SKY and I can get NI BBC 1 and 2, but I can't find UTV. How do we access the other commercial areas apart from our own (I'm STV)?

i dont think it is possible helen only bbc but i could be wrong?

Is this what you need Helen ?

Cant you just change you ITV region to Ulster on Sky?

I'm not a technical person but copied this from another site;

1. Press the Sky button on your remote control.

2. Press "Services".

3. Select "System Setup".

4. Select "Add Channels".

5. Input the following settings:
FREQUENCY: 10.906
POLERISATION: V
SYMBOL RATE: 22000
FEC: 5/6

6. Select "Find Channels".

7. Move the cursor to "UTV" and press Yellow, then Select.

To view UTV, use the following procedure:

1. Press the Sky button on your remote control.

2. Press "Services".

3. Select "Other Channels".

3. Select "UTV"

Hope so !

Stella x

- thewitch - 18-05-2006

Just follow the instructions Stella gave me, Pykey.
Wee yin watching athletics.???..she's a winner there in her own right these days...david is the one who has to do the watching, as the poor soul has a knackered knee.

thanks helen so i take it that what stella says will not upset the reciever if it does helen i will get stella to come down here and get me tuned in? lol

- dieselglider - 18-05-2006

There's no worries about it affecting the reciever, your only searching for additional channels.

- MV - 18-05-2006

I have done these changes and additions for anumber of channels.
Thinsg like moving to Hampshire but being able to still see BBC London news.
In spite of these changes, I have had no problems.
