250/125 TT - thewitch - 04-08-2006 We've got a few (very few) months to get this together. If you want a 125/250 (two-strokes mostly?) race at the TT, you have to show there are the competitors/machines to do it. I know there are..get off your butts and say you will DO it. Come on..we need at least 80 entries per race, so where are you? - Tel - 05-08-2006 I have a 250 and if there is a class for it at the TT I will deffo enter it. - Barry Wood - 05-08-2006 I would be very keen to enter the TT on a 250 again. In the real world, it wouldn't be feasible for me to buy one, as I'm so busy working to pay for racing, I wouldn't have the time to work on it. But if I can arrange to hire a 250,or some similar deal, then count me in. I raced a 250 in the Manx for over ten years, plus a few years in the TT, also many years Classic road racing on air-cooled 250 Suzuki T20's, and although I've been forced to switch to four-strokes these days, I miss them a lot! - thewitch - 05-08-2006 Anybody out there with a 250, who would like to see it raced? I'm sure Barry is not the only well known rider who would like to race a 250 around the TT course in either the TT or the MGP...you offer the bike...we'll find you the right rider. 250/125 - irishago - 05-08-2006 So what about the 400,s their are still a lot of them about and being raced one of the most popular classes at club races in the UK. What say 26 riders in each class 125/250 + 400,s that would put 78 on the grid i think i could find a good 400 to race..........roll on TT 2007 only 2 weeks to the Manx Oh Joy.... - thewitch - 06-08-2006 Sounds good to me, Kevin...go for it. 125/250/400...if you've got one and you want to race it, great...if you've got one and you want someone else to ride it, let us know. You can pm me if you don't want your name on here. - John Foster - 06-08-2006 Just as the Japanese manufacturers conquered bike manufacturing and racing in the sixties, China is primed to launch a campaign that will bring the 125 and 250 back into the limelight. Have a look at this link and see what you think. The manufacturing competition is certainly on again. http://motorcycle.directory.alibaba.com/src=google&albch=google&albcp=Content_Automobile&albkw=motorcycles-chinese&albag=Sell_Motorcycles_Motorcycle_China&albmt=Broad&albst=Content - Don Simons - 07-08-2006 Here is a motorcycle made in China John, is this the sort of thing you mean? - John Foster - 07-08-2006 No - I was thinking more along these lines - and they are now manufactured in China! - Don Simons - 07-08-2006 Sounds a bit fishy to me John, the last winner Derbi had was a Halibut. - John Foster - 07-08-2006 You disappoint me, Don. I was expecting a red herring but you were left floundering. 125/250/400 TT 2007 - irishago - 07-08-2006 Come on guys lets be a little more serious about this lets get a list of those will to race in such a class. I know of at least 10 riders who would love to race in TT 2007 on a 400 supersport Bike add your name to the list cheers Irish Ago.... - thewitch - 07-08-2006 List their names, Ago..lets be havin' 'em... 125/250/400 TT 2007 - irishago - 07-08-2006 I think if their are any riders out there interest in this thread they should add their names to the list themselves....lets get a list going then. Kevin Ago Murphy CBR400 Honda...? - MV - 08-08-2006 I dont know about anyone else, but I believe that Helen is doing a grand job, at least TRYING! Power to your elbow young lady!! MV - thewitch - 08-08-2006 Oh, VERY trying sometimes! So far we have Barry, Tel and Ago...come on guys...we need at least 100 of you in the first instance, as not all will be accepted, or qualify. Also...owners with unused bikes...come on..get them out and offer them. 125, 250 and 400 - Don Simons - 08-08-2006 Gail, have you put your name down? - thewitch - 08-08-2006 This brings us to one of the problems. Gail would, I imagine, wish to continue doing the Manx (if there is one to do) and entering the TT would mean she could no longer do this, so that rules out those competitors who prefer the Manx. - cargo - 08-08-2006 We are forever told that there are not enough 250s for a 250 race what about this for a class with lots of varity and open to clever engineers to build one offs. 250 two strokes 400 four stroke fours 650 twins unlimited singles Call it the Clubmans Junior TT and what the hell let those who do it ride in the Manx as well unless of course they've ridden in one of the commericially viable races I've suggested something along these lines on another site - Anonymous - 08-08-2006 Im another who would rather ride at the MGP than the TT. |
