Who is the fastest Manxman to lap the TT course - Chris Thackeray - 18-01-2007

Out of interest who is the fastest Manxman (born and bread) to lap the TT course.
I know Milky did around 123mph and that new guy Conner Cumming`s did 120mph.

- GriffMuss - 18-01-2007

Paul 'BIG H' Hunt 124.172 in Senior on first lap.

Nigel Beattie next on 123.583 same race on first lap.

in 2006 TT

But fastest on her wee legs ... Gail Musson!! This multi talented person is concentrating on her athletics this year. She is a STAR!

Thank you for that (Griffmuss) good to see locals ride the course so well.

Oh and some good ones of Barry Wood too that Ive added.
I was at the 11 milestone when Barry had his off and overheard the secter marshal give hes pep talk before racing got under way and it went something like this I know I say this all the time if there is an incident then "FLAGS OUT FIRST".
What I saw was a very well trained team of marshal`s in action.

Good grief...very scary stuff. Barry's one of my favourite people. Shared a taxi home last Saturday after I bumped into him at the Hilton after the JDF night at the Sefton. (Don't care for the Hilton!)
Away, he's fit and well again, and getting ready for the season...back in training. Last weekend as the end of his "off"" season.

So thats what it is your visor thought it was from the bike.
On the video clip you can see one of the marshal`s gave it a bootfull and it lands in the grass!.
You actully came to a standstill in the middle of the road and made your own way to the grass.
Glad you ok Barry.

I would have thought Edgar Jessup would have been in there somewhere :!: Lol Lol

- thewitch - 21-01-2007

Perhaps he was riding under Paul Hunt's number!
You will know, I am sure, that there have always been rumours that some of Mike Hailwood's most amazing results were, in fact, really achieved by his close friend and hero, Edgar, riding in Mike's leathers.
The original hammer in the "Hamma! hamma!" incident was also thought to have been wielded by a lightly disguised Edgar.
There is great hope that he will appear this year for the Centenary races, but under whose guise...we must just wait and see who puts in a surprising performance.
