News that Police are planning to have TT mountain section will be one way for all of TT fortnight.

Police from Jersey are being seconded to IOM to help police the festival

Estimated that 25,000 bikes and 50,000 visitors are booked to come over.

HGVs and buses etc to be banned from mountain road to prevent diesel spils that delayed MGP races in Sept.

Mountain section (Hairpin to Creg) to be closed 1 hour before normal roads closed. Marshals to be escorted up by police from Parliament Sq and Creg approx 10 mins before normal roads closed

Well if this one way for TT goes ahead be interesting to see what they do for the Manx especially if they do ban HGV & BUSES to stop the diesel spillage, who's to say it won't happen somewhere else on the course ?

Discussions are still underway with regard to the one way system and nothing has been decided yet. There is a lot to consider, not only for the general public, but also how to allow the marshals to access their posts safely, and in time for roads closing. All parties are working together on this including medical officials, marshals, police, and clerk of the course, Neil Hanson. Not an easy task
