130 mph limit VIRTUALLY broken - Marco - 30-05-2007 In the yesterday's practice John McGuinness did 17:37.09. Not a lap record. But he did the sector time record in the Bungalow-Cronk Ny Mona sector of the TT course (it's just the sector that includes Brandish corner). You can find here the 2006 sector time records: http://www.ttwebsite.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4560&highlight= Yesterday McGuinness did in the Bungalow-Cronk Ny Mona sector a time of 2:19.14 against the time of 2:20.56 recorded in the 2006 Senior TT race. Using this new sector time record we obtain an absolute virtual lap record of 17:23.64 for an average speed of 130.147 mph. So yes, we have to say that the 130 mph limit has virtually been broken on the Mountain Circuit!!! P.S. Of course I'm assumig that the TT course sectors used by the TT timing system has remained the same of last year. - Stella - 30-05-2007 Great post Marco, first time i have read your previous post also 8) thanks, Stella |
