me TT pix round-up - balin - 10-06-2007 The what/when clue is in the URL but y'know that. Thinking I might try flogging some in the future. Would be looking to do it with as little effort, other than tweaking the pix to optimise and as cheaply as poss. Anyone done it or anyone any views on doing it? All the pix are virtually straight off the card. Some have been cropped and the exposure Dick-head correction in Photoshop has helped out when I went to sleep on the light :-( http://web.mac.com/balrog4/iWeb/Site/Sat%20practice%20TT.html http://web.mac.com/balrog4/iWeb/Site/Mon%20pm%20prac%20TT.html http://web.mac.com/balrog4/iWeb/Site/TT%202007%20Tues%20Practice.html http://web.mac.com/balrog4/iWeb/Site/TT%202007%20Thurs%20pm%20prac.html http://web.mac.com/balrog4/iWeb/Site/TT%202007%20Superbike%20Race.html http://web.mac.com/balrog4/iWeb/Site/TT%202007%20Sidecar%20A.html http://web.mac.com/balrog4/iWeb/Site/TT%202007%20Wednesday%20SsportChairs%20B.html Garry Re: me TT pix round-up - boakesey - 10-06-2007 balin Wrote:The what/when clue is in the URL but y'know that. Thanks Garry and best of luck should you decide to join the pro club. It's nice to see I'm not the only Mac user over here... I've recently started using fotoLibra to sell my prints because they're a good agency with reasonable commission on sales to book publishers and the calendar market etc.. It seemed a good idea, seeing as my work's already uploaded onto their site, to sell my images using the link on their pages. That way, I don't need to bother with Paypal (Argh!!!) etc and all the eCommerce stuff. Good so far.... .... but the downside of fotoLibra sales is that you can't set the prices charged. It's less than 30p per standard print and just over a quid for a 10 x 8 enlargement - great if you want to buy prints for yourself or as samples, but you get from 12 to 50% of the profit or about 2p to 50p per item! I need to sell shedloads of photos at this sort of prices in order to break even, so I'm now very quickly looking for another method of selling my stuff that doesn't involve too much hassle, but is a good quality product at the same time. I'm sure other photographers out there will offer (both of us!) some tips and look forward to reading their responses in due course. Keep smiling. B ('') http://web.mac.com/focusphotographyiom - balin - 11-06-2007 Hey fella Thanks for that. Sounds like at those prices there's an awful lot of effort for little gain, 'specially when you see sites offering A4 size for up to a tenner! Appreciate the time taken to reply, yessir I know of another Mac in the north so that's at least three of us |
