Road racing - Anonymous - 10-04-2001 I'm not religous but with all the road race cancelations here in Ireland I can only hope and pray that the Manx is on this year. :-( Re: Road racing - Anonymous - 10-04-2001 Don't worry cargo!! I'm sure it will be run I'll be very very surprised if they cancel it. I doubt very much they would cancel the TT. They're not stopping visitors to the island so why cancel TT or Manx?? They will probably have restricted areas like here on mainland, not much fun for the walkers or in places the spectators. We'll see only time will tell, not long now for announcement!!?? Re: Road racing - Anonymous - 11-04-2001 I'm amazed that we're only about a month from the TT and still no decision. Clearly the local interests are taking precedence over the visitors who have already paid for ferries, hotels etc. I wonder what refunds will be offered if they cancel it? Surely there can be no case for cancelling the TT as they are not stopping visitors otherwise. Restricted areas would work and I'm sure everybody would respect it. Still, if the TT goes ahead we will at least know the Manx is safe (almost certainly anyway!). If they do cancel the TT we'll be left wondering what will happen to smaller and less profitable Grand Prix.... |
