Hilary's progress - thewitch - 29-06-2007 Hilary continues to make progress, even if it is a little slow (not like her!). She has to have another operation in the next few days, and then should begin serious recovery. Gail has asked that you keep writing messages to her, sending cards and letters, and generally giving John something he can read to her. The cards received are amazing... dozens and dozens. Something like this certainly makes people show how much they think of you! She'll be kept very busy reading them and, in some cases, getting back in touch with old friends, who had lost touch. - MV - 30-06-2007 Having been in a similar situation, I fully understand the value of cards and other contact. May I add to this that I firmly believe that SPECIAL people get a SPECIAL response. To me, Hilary is special. She is like a friend I haven met yet! Of course I know of her racing exploits going way back (some of us do!) But there is clearly more to this special lady than meets the eye. You can tell a lot about a person by the company she/he keeps. In Hilarys case that is a lot of special people. Not to mention a very special daughter. So, on behalf of many, GET WELL SOON HILARY. MV - GriffMuss - 09-07-2007 OH MV ! Such nice comments. thanks everyone! I'm playing catch up briefly today been away from computer for two weeks ! - MV - 09-07-2007 Its SO encouraging to hear good news about Hillary AND Shaun. For many of us, its like getting good family news, cos a family is what we all are. On other threads on this website, there have been comments about some people not joining in some serious discussions. Well, I am one of those people, I have to say. I (we) came back from this years TT feeling pretty low. I have placed deposits for next year, but had some stuffing knocked out. I guess(hope) I will revive my enthusiasm eventually. Until then, I would rather concentrate my thoughts on the people involved. So, get well Hilary and Shaun. Also, my heart goes out to Marks family. May they all find the strength to cope with with their loss and salvage their lives. Love and light to all of the members of the TT family. MV |
