Mike, I'm sure you will fight in the same way Shaun, Hilary, Robbie S, Garry D, the redoubtable and amazing Ade... all have, and I'll look forward to seeing you across here soon.

I reckon you are some special guy MV as most men would quite happily carry on not wishing to find out if they were healthy or not.

Sincere best wishes for a successful outcome.

- thewitch - 17-07-2007

Good for you Mike, for a very small amount of money, you have been given the opportunity to find and anihilate this little devil, and get on with your life. If everyone did that regularly, many of us would survive longer, and have a better life.
Every man should check himself, or be checked for prostate cancer, and every woman for breast cancer (men too, actually). Why die for nothing?
Be like Shaun , laugh in the Grim Reapers face, and get on with enjoying life.

MV, Easy for me to say I know but you'll beat it easy. My brother was diagnosed 3 yrs ago with mouth cancer. Small op. and gone for good. The fact that he'd taken an interset in himself for a change meant he caught it early. You've done the right thing. Best wishes, alf

Like I said before mate, if you do have Chemo at leat you don't have much hair to lose.

My minor blip with Cancer was 10 years ago just gone and you know how good a shape I am in.

Door is always open if you want a visit.

Love

Best wishes Mike, Be Strong, Keep Believing, Live life to the Max !

Lost my adored oldest son aged just 20yrs old 4 years ago now and my much loved mum just a few months later.

In a strange way and looking back it made me a stronger person.

I know go racing most weekends with my other half and two other adored sons, Live life to the Max...drink a little to much wine occasionally at the end of the day... 8)

But regrets....Honestly ?... not got a single one.

Life is for living and i reckon we take from it what we can.

Thinking of you.

Morning all!

How can I not feel good, waking to all this love and genuine interest?
I do feel a part of something special.
My passion for motorcycle racing and the TT in particular has conicidentally, bought me into a wonderful family.
A family of like minded and supportive people who are there for there friends.
I especially feel humbled by your comments, Stella.
Of course, I have followed your familys hard times and loss and
admired your stoicism.
(Was it 4 years ago??)
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your kind messages.
Knowing that people like you are rooting for me helps more than
you can know.
Peace, love and light to you all.

I just wanted to add a further piece.
As each day goes by, my circle of TT friends widens.
People who I have admired (the likes of Shaun, Nick J, Hilary and Stella for example) I now count as genuine friends. Even people I have yet to meet!)
However, I would like to single out 3 special people who I count as friends indeed.
They are the wonderful wee boy Cargo, the super passenger Fitz (and the lovey lovely Sharron) and of course, the uniqe Helen Gibson.
You are all very special.

Mike i really cant add anymore but stay positive and keep us in touch.

- DCLUCIE - 18-07-2007

Hope it all goes well MV. Shouldn't be a problem for a man like you.

Had a mate who had the big C, Colon though. He saw it as a great way to loose a bit of weight. He is still kicking round now. Great freind and a great scence of humour.

The only thing I can pull you up on is 'and a super passenger Fitz', I know him too well and we always have a bit of banter Lol Lol Lol

But don;t worry too much they can do wonders nowadays. All the best.

- MV - 19-07-2007

Once again, thank you all for the support.
I will have you ALL with me during the next difficult weeks.
Not only that, I will have thoughts of the wonderful Island to drive me on.
Love light and peace to you all

MV, what can I say? It was a pleasure to meet you on the morning coach tour, indeed it was a pleasure to meet ALL the good folk of the TT website that morning.
I had a little engine trouble at the Waterworks last year, but, I went in and had a good mechanic look at it. After the engine oil was changed, the PSA reading came down, and, although, I was really concerned with the state of my prostate, it's been all OK since then. So, as Tom and others have said, the prognosis for prostates is very good these days, especially in early diagnosis. Good luck MV, I'm sure we will be reading your interesting messages for a long time to come.

Chhers Mr J.
I read that post out to Pamela and she said "thats Nick!"
Its true, that could not have been from anyone else!!

We both enjoyed your campany at breakfast and your frank views.
I described you to a friend (a Doncaster lass) as a typical, old school
Yorkshire gentleman.

Thanks for the words of encouragement, so wittily put!
I am lucky to knw such people.
The TT always was special to me but has taken on a new significance
recently.
Thanks Nick.
Thank you all

PS. I feel so priviledged that I should change my name to The Count!"
