I hope I've spelt his name right.
Anyway for as long as I can remember Andy has been the man on the start line at the TT and Manx GP who taps your shoulder and sends you on your way at the start of a race. Also he is the man waiting with the checkered flag. His wife Jenny is the lady standing on a box with a red flag that stops the race and sends you into the return lane
Andy and Jenny are also the campsite comtrollers.
This year is their last "on the flags" Jenny told me she has been doing that job for 35 years and they are both retiring from that job.
I'll be sad to see them go but glad they will continue as campsite controllers.............my reserved space is safe :wink:
Anyway I manged to obtain this video of Andy in action.........watch closely cos he's got some good moves :wink:
