Listening on my PC to Manx Radio (FM) and the updates from Chris Kinley with those glorious sounds in the background is the perfect way to spend an evening while I am processing a pile of my pics from the Imperial War Museum today, and of Sammy Marshall yesterday ...
Oh for sounds like these tonight being transmitted in JUNE !!
We can actually sit here and guess what's going past, two-strokes and four-strokes and whether we or right or wrong we don't care..........It's the sounds isn't it !!
Cargo has been mentioned only a few minutes ago.
Watch the bungalow webcam, I have just "taken" a pic of three competitors together, coming into view..
I just have to get to the Manx in 2008.

Your right about the sounds Ian.......But sometimes they chit chat over the sounds far too much........click below for a good example.
