65 today! - MV - 24-08-2007

I demand a recount!!!

I found Pamela in bed with a pensioner this morning.......ME!

This feels really strange, but very good.

Given the events of May 1981 at the Gooseneck at Cadwell, I am so glad to BE 65!!

I am also SO pleased to have gathered so many friends.
MOST of them very special and a lot on here.

So, happy birthday to me and God bless you all!

Cheers ian,

Best wishes Mike....where do these years go!!!!!

- Splashdown - 24-08-2007

Congratulations MV. That's one less birthday to worry about!
The good news is that you don't look 65, you don't act 65. That's bikes for you.

- MV - 25-08-2007

Bless you uncle Nick!
So very kind.
There is NO doubt that bikes and the folk involved DO keep one young.
Oh, AND Pamela!

Sorry to be late posting, MV. I have been staying at my Douglas residence (Thanks, MO!) and returned today. with my new companion, my holidaymaking boarder, Cleo, the gorgeous ginger cat.
Best wishes, and see you soon.

Welcome to the club MV. Big Grin
I had my 65th last month and was able to nip home quickly from the Middle East for a family party. (Plus cutting the grass and hedges Sad )

When I'm home next, I will try to ride down to Andover to buy you a pint. I'm only at Fleet, must be less than 40 miles.

I couple of years ago, I was able to drop in on Ian. Must find time to go back and share that pot of tea. (Or get him to sign his book that I will be buying Big Grin )

Helen, Chris et al, thank youall for your kid wishes.
I had a wonderful day with Pamela and with our friends in Staines.
A wonderful Italian meal in good company at a restaurant oposite Windsor Castle. This followed by a musical at the delightful Theatre Royal also in Windsor. "Half a Sixpence." Not evryones cup of tea, but so Gary Wilmot was such a pro and its was fun! ....."Hold, it....what a picture!"
Then on saturday, to the Emirates Stadium to see my beloved Gunners play. The experience is not as good as Highbury, bt we did win.

Life is good these days....

You are welcome anytime Chris, and you as well, MV, if you are ever passing. I'm still at Pegasus.

As a special celebration of MVs birthday, I had Manx Kippers for breakfast......(and a Manx Whiskey before lunch !!)

I know how to live !!!

Made the kitchen smell a bit which would have driven Helens Cleo MAD.

Kippers do help MV !!

"I sent for some kippers a while back, by phone...
I received a box of Jewish skull caps (Kippahs)"
