Thanks shuffler, I've read the thread and as you say very interesting. I dug out my old copies of RRI and could find no hint of a negative attributed to Tom towards either the NW or TT in the historical articles going back a few years nor can I find such a hint on Tom's tribute site, therefore I'll assume the statements, that he hated the NW and TT, to be incorrect. My brother is a Tom Herron fan and has been for many years. He once wrote to MCN in about '76 berrating them for not giving Tom sufficient coverage and credit, he was 13 or 14 at the time and after editing they published his letter. I'll not point him in the direction of this book, he'll go beserk! Thanks for the link. alf

I was a big fan of Tom myself and i sort of threw my toys out of the pram when i read that article in the Belfast Telegraph.I thought you would find it interesting.
