He is able to get out of bed himself and walk short distances such as going to the bathroom. He is talking and can hold conversation. He knows who everyone is but is often confused. He talks a lot of rubbish at times, but it is still early days. He is still in Liverpool and has to stay there until there is a bed available in Beaumont hospital in Dublin. He has his phone by his bed and uses it when he likes. Shane is steadily getting better. We hope they find him a bed in Dublin quickly, if not Shane will just walk out of the hospital in Liverpool and expect to find his van outside. He is frustrated that he cannot leave the hospital. He just does not want to be there, even though it is the best place for him at the minute.. The visiting hours over there are very short, 2:30 to 4 and 6;30 to 8;30. Anyone in liverpool, feel free to pop in and say hello. I will let you all know when a bed in Dublin is found for him. Anthony Connor.' - Tomcat - 25-09-2007 Tis a long road, as Shaun found too. But I'm glad he is up and about, and I pray for a full recovery. GWS brave guy - Carolynn - 27-09-2007 What ward is he in?
