After reading the TT Press Launch it says Dougie Wright was the fastest ever newcomer at 105mph. on his 06 Honda RR600 which was tuned to the hilt with all the trimmins
However if you look back to 2002 to Nick Crowes first year as a driver where he broke down in both races he managed a 108mph, On a Yamaha Thundercat. Nick had passengered before but this was his first year driving so was classed as a newcomer as I was in 2007.

Fair play to Dougie wright but you think the people writing these things would look back and remember that a Manxman was fastest.
