It’s the final day of racing in the Manx Grand Prix, with two four-lap races on the Snaefell Mountain Course. First will be the combined Lightweight and Ultra-Lightweight at 10.15am, to be followed by the Senior at 1.15pm.

The Lightweight and Ultra-Lightweight are separate classes running concurrently. The Lightweight is for machines between 200cc and 350cc and has 20 entries. The Ultra-Lightweight is for machines between 125cc and 400cc and has a field of 60. Fastest in practice for the Lightweight was Dan Sayle from Sulby, Isle of Man on a Honda RS250 at 112.840mph.
In the Ultra Lightweight the fastest in practice was Rab Davie from Strathmiglo, Scotland, also on a 400cc Honda at 107.007mph.

The meeting’s concluding event is the Senior, the ‘blue-riband’ event of the Manx Grand Prix which has an entry of over 100. Machines for this are those with engines between 550cc and 750cc, often won by 750cc models, though the 600’s are not usually much behind.
