Warning to older fans - Don Simons - 31-03-2009 It has come to the attention of the powers that be that certain items in the possession of older TT fans may be in beach of the TT branding code. As you are all aware the TT is now a "BRAND" and as such people using or displaying the TT brand are liable to prosecution. Please check your clothing and if this label appears on the inside you may be up for a hefty fine. Don, In the 40's & 50's they became known as "footing" coats ( remember them) We still have my dad's coat. RE: Warning to older fans - DCLUCIE - 01-04-2009 Just thought you older people would like to know the following :- Opening time for the Pensioners Club Douglas Mon - Sat 2.30 pm - 10.30 Sun 12.00 pm - 10.30 I believe they have sarnies on a Sunday. RE: Warning to older fans - Don Simons - 01-04-2009 Well we will take your word for it, but I note they stay up pretty late drinking so I might no be as bad as it sounds. What the hell are "sarnies"? In Australia they are sunglasses. RE: Warning to older fans - DCLUCIE - 01-04-2009 Butties, grub, slices or even baps RE: Warning to older fans - pat slinn - 01-04-2009 larryd Wrote:will there be any crab sarnies ?.pat slinn Wrote:Don Simons Wrote:It has come to the attention of the powers that be that certain items in the possession of older TT fans may be in beach of the TT branding code. A bit more info for Don :- http://whatscookingamerica.net/History/SandwichHistory.htm Come to think about it, since so many good folk were deported to Oz for stealing a loaf of bread, many may not wish to be reminded of such stuff. RE: Warning to older fans - cargo - 05-04-2009 I wouldn't worry too much Chris they deported Don from Oz sometime ago...........not sure what for but it involved 2 sheep and two pairs of well worn welly boots and 200 lbs of cold custard. He has to make do with sushi now RE: Warning to older fans - DCLUCIE - 06-04-2009 Do sheep really like custard? have to make a note of that.... not for me you understand, but for one of my friends from Foxdale... thanks for the tip Cargo .... have your new waders by the way .... lol RE: Warning to older fans - Don Simons - 06-04-2009 Cargo is mixed up as we all know and he confuses Australians with New Zealanders and Welsh people. He is just trying to pull the wool over your eyes. He is experimenting with advanced sheep-circuitry to power an entry in the TTxGP, but trials are not going as wool as expected. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D2FX9rviEhw RE: Warning to older fans - cargo - 07-04-2009 Clearly neither John nor Don has yet seen my staring role in a video recently released and available to all new marshalls. I await further abuse RE: Warning to older fans - larryd - 07-04-2009 [quote=cargo] Clearly neither John nor Don has yet seen my staring role in a video recently released and available to all new marshalls. I await further abuse To be perfectly honest, I reckon that Castletown Corner last year produced far superior photographs . . . . . . . . RE: Warning to older fans - Don Simons - 07-04-2009 Another still from that first aid video staring Cargo demonstrating the mouth to mouth procedure. As usual Cargo is on his back. Some people will do anything to get an audience, but Larry's half summersault and three twists would be hard to beat. I have had the the aforementioned DVD postally delivered but my machine refuses to accept it. I wonder if it rejects the whole idea of helicoptering a smiling casualty, nursing nothing more serious than a cauliflower ear, to Nobles.
