As ever, the TT Supporters’ Club will have a high profile at this year’s TT. Based in their shop at the rear of the Grandstand, Club officials will be distributing ‘gift packages’ to competitors who are members of the Club. The package, to the value of approximately £45 includes a TT Supporters’ Club jacket [in the style of the Official TT jacket, but adorned with the Club logo], bottle of the ‘Club wine’ from the French vineyard of sidecar competitors Francois and Sylvie LeBlond and useful working goods, including duct tape, cable ties, chain spray, etc.

Club members will be able to renew their memberships at the shop which will be open from 9.30am to 6.00pm, but later on practice evenings. New members are always welcome to join this worthwhile cause. Each member receives the twice yearly glossy 52 page magazine – the Summer ’09 issue includes in depth articles about Olie Linsdell, Mats Nilsson, James Hillier, the Birchall brothers, the Italian competitors at the TT and Phil Edge, along with club news and various facts and figures.

The rider securing the best aggregate time over the Junior Supersport Races will be presented with the TT Supporters’ Club Trophy – a silver tray on a plinth, and the female competitor, considered to have made the most meritorious performance during the TT meeting, will receive the Susan Jenness Trophy, presented in memory of club member, Susan, who tragically lost her life whilst marshalling an off-road event.

Again the Club will be involved in the provision of energy drinks for the competitors, a substantial donation having been made by the Club towards the cost of these drinks to be handed out to competitors to give them an added energy boost.

The Club will also be co-ordinating the Sports Injury Clinic, which will operate from Wednesday 3rd June to Wednesday 10th June; 9.30am until late. Competitors can also contact Liz or Emma direct on 07624 258282

The Riders’ Draw will take place live on TTSC President, Charlie Williams’ Radio TT Show - £1,000 is up for grabs with the first name drawn out of the hat receiving £400; there will be five other lucky winners. During this particular show, Sally Wilson will be presented with the Susan Jenness Trophy by Susan’s husband, Mick, in recognition of becoming the fastest ever lady sidecar passenger around the Mountain Course, which she achieved last year whilst acting as ballast to Greg Lambert.

All TT fans are welcome to visit the TTSC shop where memorabilia, programmes, TT clothing, etc can be purchased at competitive prices. If you are able to assist the Club in any way, please feel free to approach any Club official at the shop. Further information about the TTSC can be obtained by visiting the Supporters website -
