RE: Gary Dickinson - choppergirl - 09-08-2009 Hi there, can you tell me what year this photo was taken? Many thanks, Jude Steele RE: Gary Dickinson - Bill Snelling - 09-08-2009 The picture was taken in 1966; that year he finished 13th in the Ultra Lightweight TT. Any relation to the Steele that formed part of Dickinson Steele business? I also think that the GARY in question was spelt GARRY, could be mistaken but my mate Garry Dickinson was named after him. There is also a plaque to this rider on the wall post at the house that was Gwens on the exit of Ballaugh. Cheers Russ RE: name please - larryd - 14-08-2009 No Russ, Gary it was. RE: Gary Dickinson - petercr49 - 31-08-2009 I remember seeing Gary Dickinson racing at Aintree, Liverpool on his 125 Honda. With his small stature he was was not a fast starter but once he got going he was very quick. In those days of course it was a run and bump start. |
