Cummins and McAdoo Ready for TT Assault - Malcolm - 30-05-2009

McAdoo Kawasaki Racing’s Conor Cummins is ready and raring to go at the 2009 Isle of Man TT, with practice starting just after 18.00 on May 30.

The Ramsey resident has made good progress so far this season on the 2009 McAdoo Kawasaki’s, particularly the Ninja ZX-10R Superbike which he feels is really flying.

“I just can’t wait to get going” enthused Conor. “I’ve decided to skip this weekend’s BSB meeting at Thruxton as I want to totally focus on the TT. I didn’t want to miss the opening practice session on Saturday so I’m staying put on the Island.”

“I’ve been training hard on my McAdoo Kawasaki KX450F motocross bike, so I’ll be ready for the bumps of Bray Hill on Saturday! The ‘09 Kawasaki’s are all great bikes so I hope to run at the front. Nick Morgan at MSS has been working flat out on the Ninja ZX-6R’s since the NW200, and Race Techniques have found even more power from the Superbike, so things are shaping up really well. The ZX-10R Superstock bike was really buzzing at the North West too so I am looking forward to a real good showing in all the classes.”

The Official Kawasaki Motors UK road race team is making its biggest ever TT effort for 2009 - five bikes and a total of seven engines have been prepared to ensure that Conor can really have a good crack at success as team owner, Winston McAdoo, observes.

“We’ve won on the Island before and enjoyed a brilliant TT in 2006 with Ian Hutchinson, but to have a Manx rider on board for the first time will be extra special. Conor undoubtedly has the ability but things have to go your way on such a demanding circuit - especially the weather - hopefully 2009 will be the year!”
