A story I heard many years ago.
It seems a rider needed a lap to qualify, possibly for the Manx but may have been the TT. He over-imbibed the evening before the last practice session so his wife struggled into his leathers and completed the required lap.

I have no idea but I love the idea! Having said that I know what my wife would say to te idea!
