WHO WAS MIKE HAILWOOD? - birminghamtestersrun - 09-03-2010 History teaches us that we soon forget! A couple of years ago after THE MIKE HAILWOOD MEMORIAL RUN a group of young riders on Japanese bikes approached me and thanked me for the run, which in itself is quite unusual, one said, "By the way, just who was Mike Hailwood?" It was a salutory reminder to me, why we hold this memorial run every year. So please, do not let this great man be forgotten.
