World Superbike Champion Hodgson to Launch Motorpoint BSB Team - Malcolm - 16-03-2010 Former World Superbike Champion Neil Hodgson will be officially launching the Motorpoint Yamaha British Superbike Team on March 26 in Derby. Hodgson, who has been tipped by among others Carl Fogarty to win this year’s title, is leading a two-pronged assault on the title by the car supermarket giant alongside former British Supersport and European Superstock rider Dan Linfoot. The pair will be riding the 2009 BSB championship-winning works R1s, which are almost identical to those that Leon Camier and James Ellison used to secure 22 race victories last season. Both riders and their bikes together with legends Niall MacKenzie and Jamie Whitham will be at Motorpoint at 7pm for their only public appearance before the start of British Superbikes 2010 at Brands Hatch next month.
