TT 2010 piccies - sticky - 27-06-2010 My TT started a day earlier than planned as I managed to get over on the Thursday before practice Nice evening to sail too. I always try to go from Liverpool if I can - much nicer surroundings than Heysham. The Three Graces One of the best bits is seeing England disappear I've never sailed with the tide so far out - these are the Antony Gormley sculptures at Crosby First practice session for the classics at Ballakeighan. Mike Hose - 350 Bultaco Alan Oversby on the fabulous 500 MV Simon Bartlett - Suzuki XR69 The crew that always ties Roy Moore's tongue in knots - Ralf Engelhardt & Winfried Wiecenz on the Busch BMW 2nd practice at Church Bends - cold, wet & 'orrible so not many out. Bob Millinship (471 Ducati) leading Tom Jackson (500 Honda) Jamie O'Brien - Yamaha TZ250 Ian Salter & Tim Dixon (Norton) leading Eddy Toombs & Bob Dowty (BMW) The 250/350 singles race also took place and featured what I believe to be the outstanding moment of the fortnight. Ted Fenwick winning the 250 race at the age of 82. He was best 4 stroke in the 250 race two days later aswell! Sun back out for the Classics race day Oversby again! More Italian exotica - Mick Moreton on the 500 Paton Albert Price & Dicky Gale just before blowing up the clutch and setting the outfit on fire! Kenny Davis leading John Burrows on his way to an excellent 3rd in the 350 race - both on Hondas First TT practice at Ballaugh & different techniques on display. Ian Lougher prefers nose-up Ryan Farquhar goes nose-down Keith Walters & Alun Thomas produce the biggest sidecar leap in 30 years! Working on Tuesday night's stuff at the moment, so back soon with some more RE: TT 2010 piccies - Jo Rowe - 27-06-2010 Fab pics!! Am amazed that Keith can get the outfit off the ground with his "excess baggage"!!! And yes, Ted Fenwick winning aged 82. Quite something! A close up study of Wayne "Bob The Builder" Lockey & Ken Edwards RE: TT 2010 piccies - sticky - 02-07-2010 Wednesday evening and too much sun - either deep black shadows or too bright highlights. Couldn't get settled and ended up whizzing about all over the place... McPint at St Ninians Fabrice Miguet Keith Amor at Bedstead Tim & Dips (again!) RE: TT 2010 piccies - Jo Rowe - 02-07-2010 That's a great shot of Tim and Dips! I also like the really close up one of Wayne on the outfit. Get you, complaining about too much sun! Imagine how it is for the riders, especially the sidecars. When I see photos from around the course, I do miss getting out and about and almost regret being stuck at the Grandstand. RE: TT 2010 piccies - sticky - 02-07-2010 Rhencullen for Thursday evening: Big Wheelie for Brian Alflatt & Herve Chenu James McBride Indi Guy RE: TT 2010 piccies - sticky - 04-07-2010 Friday evening at Ballacraine Moly Bruce tries out the St John's course Mark Miller Stefano Bonetti RE: TT 2010 piccies - boakesey - 13-07-2010 Fabulous shots! Been a bit delayed putting more up as my 'puter has had the 'BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH' All sorted now, so here's some more: Superbike race from the Bungalow. William Dunlop Derek Brien Jimmy Moore Dan Kneen Stayed at the Bungalow for the first sidecar race - too lazy to move Greg Lambert & Jason Slous Wayne Lockey & Ken Edwards - great TT for the Gloucestershire drivers, with Wayne getting 11th & 12th places Rob Handcock & Mike Aylott - brilliant 7th for Rob in race B, almost ignored by the media but I got him & Wayne a full page spread in Gloucestershire's two daily papers Mr Reeves waving Dips in the air again.
