Southern 100 Tuesday Night Practice + Race Results - Malcolm - 13-07-2010

The 2010 Steam Packet Southern 100 International Road Races are underway tonight and here are the timed practice results for this evening.

Why was the results amended, Ryan Farquar finished 8th not 3rd, James McBride came off and remounted which is not permitted in a national race, the race was not red flagged so whats going on.

Information received indicates that the race WAS Red Flagged on Lap 6 and therefore the positions at the end of Lap 5 will stand.
Ryan Farquhar completed Lap 5 in 3rd Place and therefore is credited with that finishing position.
Not having any information on James McBride coming off his machine on whatever lap, no comment can be made in this regard.

Mark Buckley lost out on third place after the podium presentation because the race was red-flagged on the last lap so the result is taken from the end of lap five - Ryan Farquhar is therefore awarded the last podium place.

I wondered if that had been the case, as I knew he had literally been on the podium. Poor Mark!

If the race was red flagged and the result was given at the end of lap 5 then what happened to Michael Pearson, why was he disqualified for an incident that happened on lap 6
To receive the answer to that one George you will have to submit your question to the S100 Committee I would think ?
