Ian Watson Spring Cup Road Races

The 2011 British ‘Pure’ Road Racing Season ‘Kick-Starts’ in spectacular style at Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough on Sunday 17th April.
The Organising Auto 66 Club has put together a 12 race programme for 125GP/450 Singles; 250; 400; 600; Mini Twins; Superbike's and F2 Sidecars for the first of four major road races during the coming season at the North Yorkshire venue.
Ian Lougher with 128 wins, Chris Palmer with 81 and Ryan Farquhar who has 68 chequered flags to his credit are the three most successful competitors at Oliver’s Mount with 277 victories between them head the entry list for the opening round of the 2011 Duke Road Race Rankings Championship.
The grid will also include the cream of the road race fraternity with William Dunlop, Davy Morgan, Michael Pearson, Derek Sheils, Daley Mathison, Keith Pringle, David Guiney and Darren Gilpin to name just a few!
Current holder of the Ian Watson Cup Ryan Farquhar will be on his KMR Kawasaki’s plus Adrian Archibald, who will have his first outing on Farquhar’s 650 machine after the pair joined forces to contest the popular class in 2011.
Also entering the fray in this growing class is Ulster-based Welshman Ian Lougher on a machine specially built for him by Stewart Smith.
Racing gets underway at 12.30pm, with admission charges remaining at last years level,
£15.00 per adult with accompanied children under 15 free.
