A Biker who was killed during an accident on the Mountain Road during the TT festival was a dad-to-be.

Antony Capstick, 36, from North Yorkshire never got to meet his son Jonty, now aged three months, after he was killed during an high-speed motorbike accident.

The inquest heard that Mr Capstick suffered serious head injuries after his Kawasaki motorbike went into a hedge at Graham’s Memorial on the Mountain Road on Friday, June 3.

Construction engineer Mr Capstick was on a trip to the island with a group of friends and his two brothers, Neil and Martyn.

The inquest was told that on the day of the accident the eight riders had been riding around the island for about an hour. The day was sunny, the road was quiet and dry, and the visibility was excellent.

Mr Capstick’s brother, Martyn, who was following on his bike behind, had a camera on his bike which filmed the accident.
