The Buildbase BMW Motorrad team had their first test of the season last week as the team's Superbike and Superstock contingents completed a private test at Mallory Park.

MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship riders Dan Linfoot and Barry Burrell completed over 60 laps each on their new bikes without reporting any problems as both recorded encouraging lap times. Steve Brogan and Howie Mainwaring also completed over 50 laps each as they prepare for their title assault on the Metzeler National Superstock 1000 Championship.


Team Principal Stuart Hicken said:

"Overall this was a really good test for us, with four new bikes there's usually teething problems, but all the bikes ran very well. The three new riders settled very quickly and Barry now in his third year with the team was straight on the pace on the 2012 BMW S1000RR. We'll now look forward to the BSB test at Snetterton."
