The 2013 entry process will be administered exclusively through our on line race management system. The system is simple to use and includes several features designed to enhance interaction with the event, including a competitors portal giving riders access to a host of previous data from their efforts around the TT Mountain Circuit. Plus, competitors can share their performances live, in real time, using Facebook and other social networks.
The system is the single point for all teams and competitors to enter, register machines, provide details of sponsors, paddock requirements, licence details and ferry crossings.
You will be able to find it by clicking on iomtt.com, the official Isle of Man TT and Classic TT Web Site, and following the path below –

We have made a significant number of changes to the system in the past 12 months to improve functionality and your user experience. User support is available via the DED Motorsport Team and the contact details for the team are as follows –
Telephone – 00 44 (0) 1624 686876 / 00 44 (0) 1624 686877 - E-mail – sophie.lowney@gov.im / bruce.baker@gov.im
Applications for Classic TT Race entries must be made no later than Friday 3rd May 2013.
REGULATIONS
A copy of the full 2013 regulations is attached for your information. There is a brand new document and all teams and competitors are encouraged to make themselves familiar with them ahead of entering the 2013 event. It features details for both the Classic TT and the Manx Grand Prix Races.
Please pay particular attention to the regulations regarding the paddock and official event passes and the access they provide as there are a number of year on year revisions.

PADDOCK
The paddock will be organised by the DED Motorsport Team and its appointed agent G4S Secure Solutions (Isle of Man) Ltd. Lloyd Mister will once again be the Paddock Manager for G4S in 2013 and his contact details are as follows -
Tel: 00 44 (0) 1624 649016 - Fax: 00 44 (0) 1624 649049 - Mob: 00 44 (0) 7624 483945
E-mail lloyd.mister@im.g4s.com
The paddock will be shared between competitors from both the Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix. Competitor comfort, safety and security will be our priority in the paddocks, however we will also be focusing significant effort into turning parts of the paddocks, the trade and retail area and the Nobles Park playing fields into much more of a visitor attraction and commercial proposition than it has been in the past at the Manx Grand Prix.
We have lots of ideas already in place for the trade and retail area and the Nobles Park playing fields, however we are open to suggestions for the area known as Paddock A. We want to create a real visitor experience there, that will attract footfall throughout the event. It will be an area where the focus will be on presentation and whatever plans we come up with, the use will be significantly different compared to the past few years at the Manx Grand Prix. Anyone with any thoughts on how we might progress plans for Paddock A, please feel free to contact me directly.
NEWCOMERS
We intend to run a training weekend with experienced competitors for newcomers to the Classic TT in the near future where assistance for travel costs will be available. To register for details, please send an e-mail to iomtt@gov.im.
FERRY TRAVEL
All teams and competitors wishing to travel via the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company should make their travel requests via the attached form, which should be returned to the Steam Packet Company directly at the address shown on the document.

BUDGET
Some of you may be aware of the economic situation faced by the Isle of Man Government at present caused by a change to a VAT agreement with the UK authorities, which has resulted in our Government carrying out fairly dramatic cuts to public spending.
From discussions we have had over the past few months it would appear that there is some misinformation regarding the funding arrangements for the Classic TT Races. For the record, we have not received any additional funding from treasury at all to stage the Classic TT and our overall motorsport budget has been reduced in real terms significantly year on year.
Clearly we are forecasting to spend more money than in previous years and this will all come from commercial income generated from things such as sponsorship, ticket sales, licensing, TV broadcast rights etc. The Classic TT is an event in its inaugural year therefore these income streams are likely to be modest to begin with, but our approach to commercial income generation will be fairly aggressive, something we make no apologies for.
This is a difficult situation for us all and we intend to manage our way out of this through efficient management of our costs and an increasingly aggressive commercial strategy to ensure the long term viability of the event. We hope we can count on your understanding and support as we navigate our way through these challenging times.
PRESS OFFICE
Redpoint PR will be heading up the Classic TT Press Office on a 52 weeks of the year basis and are keen to work with all competitors and teams to develop stories in international, national and regional titles, as well as on line. Please share any stories that you have with Simon Crellin, the MD of Redpoint PR who is Chief Press officer for the Classic TT. His contact details are as follows –

PRIZE PRESENTATION
We have received a surprising amount of feedback over the past few months from you all regarding prize presentations. Many people suggested that we look at trying something different for the Classic TT, compared to the traditional TT and Manx Grand Prix Presentations. So for 2013 we intend running an outdoor event, to allow the fans intimate access to the award winners, utilising the stage we are installing for the event at the rear of the main TT Grandstand building. For the Classic TT this will take place in the evening on the August Bank Holiday Monday, and as well as the prize presentation the evening will feature live music and the official beer tent and all food concessions will remain open throughout.
We did this kind of prize presentation in 2008 after the Senior TT and it proved very popular. See image.
We are looking forward to receiving your entry for the 2013 Classic TT Races and our team will be on hand to assist you with any questions you have in the meantime.
Best wishes
Paul
