Pre-TT morning session called off

This morning’s Pre-TT Classic action has been called off in the face of wind and rain in the South of the Island.

The Billown Circuit closed as planned at 9.10 this morning – but reopened around half an hour later as organisers decided to call off the lightweight, senior and sidecar races.

Roads will close again at 1.05pm this afternoon, when it’s hoped the Lightweight, 850CC Classic, Superbike and Sidecar Race 2 can go ahead.

Weather permitting, the lightweights will set off at 1.50pm.

Monday’s Race Programme (Revised)

The Organisers of the Blackford’s Pre TT Classic Races are planning to run the Monday Afternoon Race Schedule as per the advertised programme with the exception of Race 9 - the Sidecar Race.

This Race will now incorporate Race 5 THE CAMATHIAS CUP.

Roads will close at 1.05pm and re-open no later than 4.10pm.

The Race order will be:

Race 6 Junior Race
Race 7 850 Classic Race
Race 8 Superbike Race
Race 9 Camathias Cup &
Sidecar Race - 2

Full information will broadcast on Manx Radio TT on 1368m Medium Wave.

Palmer commands at Billown

Poor weather threatened the second day of the Pre TT Classic meet at Billown ( Monday).

The start was delayed until lunchtime and then it turned into Castletown's Chris Palmer's benefit. He put three wins alongside his win two days ago.

He took the first of today's three races, the Junior Classic from Mike Hose and Jamie O'Brien.:

The second race, the 850. A bit of luck for Palmer when Jamie Coward went out with mechanical problems giving Palmer the win.

The third race and again, in class A, a win for that man Palmer on the Yam superbike.

Class A winner: 50 year old Chris Palmer from James Cowton and Mike Hose.

Class B winner, Mark Madsen-Mygdal from Alan Oversby and Ken Davis
