Two talented locals are gearing up for the ultimate road racing challenge with the welcome support of Conister Bank Isle of Man.

Gavin Hunt and Dan Kneen are receiving sponsorship from the island’s only local, independent bank which has a history of supporting a wide variety of sports in the community, including football, cycling, cricket and rallying.

This is the fourth year that Conister Bank has supported Hunt, who is competing in his second TT.

Riding for the Northern Escalator Installations team, he has a Kawasaki ZX10 for the Superbike, Superstock and Senior, a Kawasaki ZX6 in the Supersport and an ER650 Kawasaki in the Supertwin.

Conister also supported Gav’s father, Paul Hunt, former leading TT rider and Senior MGP winner.

For Dan Kneen, Conister’s first-time sponsorship comes at a pivotal time in his racing career. The 26-year-old, also from Braddan, has made an impressive start to 2014 with superbike wins in the recent Cookstown and Tandragee meetings in Northern Ireland.

Dan will be aboard a Suzuki 1000 for ex-rider John Burrows’s Cookstown BE Racing team in the Superbike and Senior, a 600 Honda in the Supersport and a 650 Kawasaki in the Supertwin for the same team. In addition, he is riding another 1000cc Suzuki for regular sponsor Marks Bloom in the Superstock.
