Anstey honoured in New Zealand

Isle of Man T.T. absolute lap record holder Bruce Anstey has been honoured in his home country.

The nine-time T.T. winner has become a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to motorcycling.

The Flying Kiwi made his T.T. debut in 1996.

Anstey set his Mountain Course lap record on the final lap of this year's Superbike Race at a speed of 132.298 mph.

He also won the Formula One Classic T.T. on the Padgetts Yamaha in late August.

A really well deserved honour to one of the most talented road racers for years and still going strong.well done to
New Zealand for recognizing this,so whoever chooses the British honours list should take note of a certain John McGuinness.

Well done Bruce.

As a bit of trivia there is a road called Anstey Way in Trumpington, Cambridge - any connection to our Bruce???
.
Everything will be alright in the end. And if it's not alright, it's not yet the end.
