Just out of interest and apologies if I'm going off thread but exactly who were these people who said the TT would collapse without the Subaru sponsorship?

When the whole anti Subaru feelings where made known, the DED said that there type of sponsorship was vital for the TT to continue.
Without it, Tynwald was unable to fund the TT in the future.

So, would it be logical to assume that the TT will become increasingly held to ransom by various sponsors? . Very sad.

Isn't next years TT being run by an 'outside organization' anyway?
Sponsorship & moneymaking will surely be high on their (whoever it is!) agenda.
I guess we'll find out eventually.
