The future of road racing is in the hands of YOU the spectators.

The simple facts are that for far too long, spectators have been able to watch this sporting spectacle of road racing for FREE.

Everyone has to realise that all sport costs money to stage and the KDM Hire Cookstown "100" is no different.

All the organisers are asking is that everyone purchases a race programme and donate towards the event.

The insurance costs alone for the Cookstown "100" is staggering and the running costs for the meeting is around £100,000.

So, we are appealing to the public, please support the KDM Hire Cookstown "100", not just with your presence, but by purchasing a programme

Thursday 27th April - Classic Bike Run

Sign on from 6.30pm in Burn Road Car Park leaving 7.15pm

Friday 28th April - Practice Day

Roads Close 12 noon

Saturday 29th April - Race Day

Roads Close 10.00am

Maybe they could make them available to buy online giving them a larger potential market.

I love the national road races in NI and hope they go on forever. I always buy a programme and donate what I can as well as always encouraging everyone that goes with me to do the same. I have wondered for years why these smaller races like the Tandragee and Cookstown don't charge money from spectators at the entry points around the circuit like we see at the Ulster Gp surely this would raise the funds that's needed.
