Fastest woman to lap the Vauxhall International Northwest 200, Maria Costello MBE, has had to withdraw from this year's event due to unforeseen circumstances. Putting her family first, the Northamptonshire racer will miss competing around the Triangle road for the first time in over 6 years.

Costello said: 

“I'm sorry I can't be there. I'll really miss all those amazing fans that attend the NW200. Thanks to all my sponsors and supporters for being so understanding. I wish the organisers and all the competitors a safe and successful Northwest 200."
