Department for Enterprise awards Dot Performance a contract to build new TT Website
Department for Enterprise awards Dot Performance a contract to build new official TT Races website
Following a competitive tender, the Department for Enterprise has awarded Isle of Man based digital company Dot Performance Ltd. a contract to design, build, and maintain a new official website for the TT Races and Classic TT Races for a period of up to five years.
The contract to provide the existing site ends on 30 September 2018 and it is expected that the new site will go live on 1 October 2018.
The Department, as the commercial rights holder of the TT Races and Classic TT Races, will own the new website domain name - www.iomttraces.com - and will be able to manage content directly on the new site.
Rob Callister MHK, Political Member with responsibility for Visit Isle of Man and motorsport commented:
‘I’d like to congratulate Dot Performance on submitting a successful tender as part of the procurement process to build a new website for the TT Races and Classic TT Races. The procurement process demonstrates our commitment to Isle of Man taxpayers to undertake market tests and deliver value for money.
‘Although this will mean a move to a new domain name, by owning the web address for the official TT website the Department can ensure that we select the best possible digital solution for a marketing channel that is integral to the success of the event.
‘I would like to take this opportunity to thank Duke Marketing for their historic support of the event and look forward to them continuing to be a partner through our broader relationship including their status as an official travel partner.’
Andy Orton, Founder, Dot Performance, commented:
‘As an Isle of Man business, we are really pleased to have the opportunity to showcase our capability on the back of the Isle of Man’s largest event. This is a very prestigious contract for us to win and we look forward to working with the Isle of Man Government to build on the commercial success that the event contributes to the local economy as well as providing a platform for race fans worldwide to engage with the events.’
