Clerk of the course not ruling out Monday practice

The clerk of the course says it may be necessary to have four straight days of racing at the TT next week.

The weather put paid to yesterday's qualifying session, which is now due to take place this afternoon, if conditions permit. (NOWCANCELLED)

If riders don't complete enough qualifying laps ahead of Saturday's Superbike and Sidecar races, the organisers may have to delay the start of the race schedule.

Gary Thompson insists adding a practice on Monday and starting the race programme on Tuesday wouldn't be a problem:

Do they still have the Saturday following the Senior as a contingency?

Looks like it's going to be a busy week for everyone.

Hopefully we get some practice over the coming weekend. Saturday looks a maybe at some point and Sunday looks good in afternoon but rain in the morning. Fingers crossed we get dry roads and roads closed.

It's looking like the whole event is going to be crammed into the back end of race week. Frustrating for the fans that come across this for The first weekend or Saturday day trip.

ug, it feels like we are in a grey area again.

i always thought it might be a good idea to have a alternate plan to qualify riders based on past performance it will be a real challenge to qualify all riders now.

Agreed, practice is more for getting the bike right than anything else.

Hi there folks, I hope everybody's well.

I really feel for the riders, organisers & fans alike at the mo'. It's frustrating enough waiting for the weather to improve from afar: so it'll be a damned-sight worse for everybody on the island! Hopefully tomorrow will bring brighter weather so they can at least start to catch up with all those sessions that've had to be cancelled. I'll be keeping everything crossed for those much-needed dry conditions & a gentle breeze to get the show back on the road (quite literally!).

Well it's another wet grey day. Fingers crossed it improves over the morning. Looking up at the mountain at the moment it covered in gray cloud.

Another day - & yet more foggy, rainy nonsense! I've been having a gander on the webcams since 9am: and the weather seems to be deteriorating further still. I'm starting to wonder if it's ever going to improve enough for any racing to take place this year... 🙁

So Saturday's practice/qualifying day also falls foul of the weather.

Let's all hope & pray tomorrow's planned early afternoon session manages to see competitors finally get out for some much-needed time on their steeds. 🤞🤞🤞 🤞

Yes they do, the issue is marshal manning levels

I remember the Senior being run on the Saturday in 1987, It was tipping it down, we where standing down Bray Hill watching the bikes snaking down the road ! Here's one for the statistician's, was that the last time it was actually run on the Saturday !
Grey-haired riders don't get that way from pure luck.

Sunday now, it's blowing, it's wet and its foggy.

They say something might go this aft but it's looking poor at the minute.

Tuesday now bad forecast too.
