The Manx Grand Prix will soon be 100

2023 will see the centenary of the first running of the MGP over the famous TT Mountain Course and organisers, the Manx Motor Cycle Club, are preparing a book to help celebrate the occasion. It will recognise the strong sporting ethos that has run through the event since its inception in 1923 and the way that it has successfully catered for both amateur racers and those with an eye on a future professional career. Among the latter are 6 men who went on to become World Champions and over 60 who won a coveted TT race.

The MGP has not only inspired generations of racers to challenge the 37¾ miles of the Isle of Man Mountain Course, but has always been a favourite with race fans. The story will be told by author David Wright and will come with hundreds of photographs to illustrate and amplify 100 years of memorable racing.

Publication is planned for the Autumn of 2022.
