Yes, that's right I think.

Classic TT back, I'll be going over for both the manx and the classic. I'll be looking at 12 days over. Monday the 18th to Saturday the 30th or Sunday the 31st.

I suspect the disastrous weather of this year has played a part in the extension of the event.

I'm happy with the new format, i prefer the mgp to the TT nowadays

This year's weather and compressed racing mess might have been a blessing in disguise in finally proving there wasn't enough session time available even with the contingency sessions .. we weren't so far away from having no racing at all.......that and the constant up/down it's on it's off we're running out of time from Day 1 malarkey isn't good for anyone involved or attending.

That's much better in my view, more like the old day on day off

Perhaps I'll see the island again after all! who knows!

The only slightly worrying thing I can see is that there doesn't appear to be a contingency for the Friday 'Blue Riband' Classic events.

I'm a happy bunny - and plan to be there for at least 2 weeks

I've often spoke about the poor promotion and publicity of the Manx Grand Prix, it's been running for over 100 years and very few people have ever heard of it

Since 2013, when in the UK, I've always referred to the MGP as 'The Classic TT' because people understand/can work out that it's the TT for old bikes

I understand that the Department for Enterprise (DfE) will take responsibility for the classic event, with the the Manx Motor Cycle Club (MMCC) retaining responsibility for the MGP

Hopefully between the 2 of them, we can get back to the great event we enjoyed from 2013

Only 217 days until I'll be at the TT and 297 before the Classic - can't wait!!!!!

It's really got me thinking!
TT 2025 is booked & I'll keep it, but , from 2026?
I'm leaning towards a few days at the TT (without bike) & 10 days at the Manx/ CTT now.

Something has to give and be at the end and the bean counters and organisers will have tried to extend the event best they can - TT isn't much different with Senior at the end, i'm wondering also if with the much stricter licence requirements these for TT Course Racing having The Manx/MGP first means the riders have a better chance of getting full race experience and road signatures for potential/future TT entries.....not to mention the huge expense and commitment of the riders.......as far as i'm aware the event and experience at The Manx is a big plus point where insurance, risk and H&S departments are concerned in that there would be issues with just having the higher speed TT as a stand alone event.

I've pulled the trigger on that scenario already pal. I'm over at the TT for a few days on foot for 2025, catch the last couple of days of race week and planning a similar length visit to the manx as this year. I were over at the manx for ten days this year and preferred it. Obviously, the weather ruined most of it but that couldn't be helped.
