TT 2026
I always though that Mad Sunday was the first Sunday in June, with practice week before it, and race week after. That would mean Mad Sunday is the 7th June 2026, but the Duke site is saying practice week is May 25th-29th May, Race week 30th May-06 June. That would make Mad Sunday 31st May?

RE: TT 2026
The Duke site does say 'subject to final confirmation'

Interesting that on some sites the 'TT Bank Holiday' is the 12th June on others it's the 5th (which would tie in with Duke's dates)

I'm sure it'll get sorted in the next few weeks.....

RE: TT 2026
I have always thought/known that Mad Sunday is the First in June, but maybe that's about to change?
I cant find any dates, but, on the IOM Government website it gives these dates for the school holidays -
Half term (TT)                  Monday 2nd June 2025 to Friday 6th June 2025                    Tuesday 26th May 2026 to Friday 5th June 2026
                                                           (this year)                                                                             (next year)
Seems like a longer holiday next year, but still earlier than anticipated?

Also strange how I cant find any indication as to when boat tickets go on sale this year, for next year!
Maybe they really haven't decided when it's happening next year!!! (I'm presuming 19th May!)

What I should have said is 'it IS', not 'I thought'.
The only reference to dates I can find is on the Duke site. There is zero reference to it on the Steam Packet site. Even if you put any combination in the search bar, it says no results found. Bookings can only be made up until mid May, which isn't unusual, but previously if you tried to put in TT sailing dates, it sent you to the link explaining when you can reserve and place deposits etc.
Very odd.

RE: TT 2026
I’m the same. Mad Sunday was always the first Sunday of June. The provisional dates I’ve seen are a week early, maybe that doesn’t apply anymore.
I did see the Senior Day bank holiday was on the 12th June next year, whether that’s right I don’t know, but in theory it’s correct.
Surely the dates are going to be released before D Day on the 19th. I believe vans can be booked online this year.

That still infers it a week early next year with Mad Sunday on 31st May.
I remember a few years back when there was a similar confusion with hundreds of German bikers coming a week early, and I have done that once before now. It would be good to have an official announcement on actual dates rather than provisional/subject to change notices.

Nobody knows!
There's nothing official, anywhere!!
All of the sites say things like 'subject to final confirmation' or 'All dates are provisional and may be changed without notice.'

I'm actually thinking that Mad Sunday won't be the first in June next year,
but then again it's not really Mad Sunday any more, anyway!! Confused

I meant to add the note at the bottom states these dates can be changed once the TT dates are confirmed. Sorry

Just make sure your van doesn't have business signwriting or kitted out for commericial / trade use as you could get hit for extra money at the port.
