Loyalty Awards
Just a snippet, read that the Manx Goverment is to present loyalty awards in the form of a Tankard to over 50 diehard TT Fans.
Wonder who use this site will be on the list and where the nominations came from.
Bet it will create a 'I should have got one' culture
ARISE SIR IAN you must qualify for one of the first ones.
Good gesture by the Manx Goverment

Well done indeed, Ian.
That summed things up well for me too.
At the moment, I feel rather shell shocked back at home.
having made 40 years and got to the centenary, I feel at a crossroads.
I have paid a deposit for next years ferry, cos you have to to stand a chance.
At the moment, I dont now.
Has the love afffair ended?
Could be.
What I DO know is that I have made so many very special friends in the Island and on here......

Meanwhile, I am planning my 2nd ever Manx visit(did one in 1979)

see ya next year
I come to the TT each year not only to see a specoial road racing discipline but also to meet up with friends I have made over the years.

Good friends, people I can realy call "friend"...

And I make even more each year I come over. FROM ALL OVER THIS PLANET..

This year I met up with a number of friends I haven't seen for twenty-odd years but it was like meeting again after only a days separation.

That is what the TT is all about.....

I keep saying "that's it" but then I think of the TT as "Stargate", we pass through each year to visit a different world for two weeks...

It's a bit like what heaven will be...

I'm booked for 2008, but next year we must watch those mad french fans who ride on the wrong side of the road.......at you !!

It's up to you officer !

My old chap's done 51 TTs and probably about 25 MGPs. My late mother first went to the TT in 1956 and only missed 5 until we lost her in 2002 and she did a load of Manx's. I've done 42 TTs and 14 MGPs. My brother's done 43 TTs (he went to the one that wasn't in 2001) and again, about 25 MGPs and finally, my dog has 8 TTs and 8 MGPs under his collar. I therefore claim the 'family' award

On behalf of my family (and dog) we would be happy to accept a complimentary fortnight at the Manx please Mr Earnshaw Big Grin
