A glimpse of the future
PRESS RELEASE Jan 2012
The ACDTLU* have announced some arrangements for TT2012

Naming:
TT 2012 will be under new sponsorship and will be known as the Audi TT. The road closing car will be an Audi product. This will ensure an income stream which was not available in the past where parochial interests, who will remain nameless, were not charged sponsorship fees.
TT Portals:
The TT Portals for ticket sales which were in place last year at the entrance to Douglas and Ronaldsway have been strengthened and the razor wire disguised with plastic flowers due to some derogatory comments. The vastly increased income from the TT Portals has enabled the ACDTLU to make many innovations which are mentioned below.
TT Re-entry card:
An improved IOM resident re-entry card involving biometric scanning has been produced which will overcome the mailing of re-entry card to non-residents thus avoiding the TT entrance charge.
Coast-Guard:
To prevent the Irish people-smugglers repeating their fishing boat invasion of last year the IOM Coast-Guard has been formed and will initially employ two destroyers loaned by the Royal Navy plus helicopter surveillance.

Oh, yes, and there will be some motorcycle racing as well.

We will keep you posted as more exciting details are leaked out.

* (The ACDTLU is the new organising body after the marriage of the ACU Events Ltd Mk ll and the Department of Tourism and Leisure.)

Don, "Work Brings Freedom" - posted over the entrance to Aushwitz. Not really very appropriate - but maybe I'm missing something? Certainly hope so. Please excuse if I am.............

No perhaps not; I just needed an archetypal image of a forbidding looking gate.
Perhaps Steve McQueen would have been better.
