Last Weekend i attended the Marshalls Incident Management Course in Liverpool and i would like to express my thanks in an open forum aswell as direct to the Marshalls Association for a terrific course.
A lot of time and dedication is now put in by the TTMA committee to bring the standard of Marshalling at the TT and the MGP to a higher level.
If anybody is thinking of attending any of the IMC courses coming up in the UK and is undecided as to whether to make the effort, please do.
On a proffesional level i found the course informative and helpfull, in particular the first aid element, which i feel has raised my confidence if ever required to deal with a casualty. The role play was fun and in no way intimidating and just showed the team atmosphere that all Marshalls seem to take as second nature.
There was a good mix of experienced marshalls but the real/pleasant surprise was tha amount of novices and people who have not even marshalled atall.
So, please attend you will be glad you did, i certainly did.
