The Clerk of the Course has announced that the first day of racing of the 2009 Manx Grand Prix, Monday 31st August has been cancelled due to the prevailing weather conditions and forecast for day, strong winds, low cloud and heavy rain.

It is hoped to run today's races, Newcomers, Post Classic and Junior / Lightweight Classic on Tuesday 1st September with roads closing at 11.30am.
