I know I have asked this question before, but I did not really get a answer.

When was the mountain circuit length last "officialy" measured by the IOM authorities ?. I can remember that many years ago MCN measured it along the centre of the road using a wheel towed behind a car, but I cant remember the result, does anybody ?

What I was thinking though, is the centre the correct way to measure a circuit?? Should it be measured along the centre of the road everywhere or the racing line? It can't surely still be 37.73 miles, can it?

Just my thoughts on the matter!
