Ballgowan rider Michael Pearson will be BMW mounted for the 2011 Irish and International Road Racing season after the former Irish Superbike Champion clinched a deal to ride a new 2011 BMW RR1000.

Pearson, who last year campaigned on a Kawasaki, struck up the new deal with Co-Armagh based D&G Wray Racing who have been supportive of many riders in the past.

Pearson will campaign the BMW in Superstock trim in 2011, and will have the use again of the Carryduff Forklifts ZX6 600 Kawasaki, which is currently being updated to 2011 spec by Nick Morgan of MSS Colchester Kawasaki.

Another new addition to the team in 2011 is the link up with World renowned exhaust specialists Leovince who will be providing the Team with the best in exhaust systems, with Lightech Racing Parts also combining the link up with Leovince.

A delighted Michael Pearson said,

“I am over the moon to be offered this chance to ride for D&G Wray, who have been a tremendous help to me already. I am really grateful to them for putting their faith in me, and I hope to be able to repay them with some good results throughout the year.

“Again, Davy Greer, my employer is again backing me in the Supersport 600 class with the same Kawasaki Supersport machine that I rode in 2010. Davy is of course my main backer, whom without his help I would not be racing. We have managed to strike up a good deal with Bob Pearson from Leovince Exhausts, who will also be giving us a very competitive race deal with Lightech Race Parts.

“Again, we have been trying very hard to secure funding for 2011, and bit by bit its starting to fall into place. The BMW deal is very exciting and I really cannot wait to get a run out on her once we have it in race trim. Its been a good start to the new-year for us,”
