The 2012 season is shaping up to be a thrilling prospect for the Triumph Triple Challenge (TTC) one-make series as it enters its sixth year. The TTC will once again form an integral part of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship series with all 18 races taking place over nine BSB events.

The series will again commence at the opening BSB round over the Easter weekend at Brands Hatch (April 6-9) and takes in a further eight events over the next six months, closing at the same venue on October 12-14. Backed by the Triumph factory and run by T3 Racing in conjunction with MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR), the TTC continues to build its reputation as the most competitive one-make series in the UK and a key proving ground for the UK's motorsport riders of tomorrow.

With television coverage confirmed for all nine rounds of the series as part of British Eurosport's extensive BSB broadcasts the Triumph Triple Challenge provides aspiring riders with great exposure and the right level of track experience to graduate into supersport racing. Indeed, this year's Champion, Luke Jones was offered the opportunity to ride for HM Plant in 2011 on one of the team's Superstock 1000 machines on the strength of his performance in the TTC.

All entrants compete on race tuned Daytona 675s, so a truly level playing field, and all can also take advantage of a unique package of ongoing mentoring and training provided jointly by Triumph and T3 Racing. The Triumph Triple Challenge Academy is a key element of the series with training sessions on race craft, diet and fitness, handling the media and sports psychology - all important considerations for any rider serious about their future career in motorsports.

The winner of the 2012 TCC will step up to either Junior Superstock (if under 26) or Supersport Cup (if aged 26-32), with a funded race package from T3 Racing for the 2013 season. The supported ride will include a fully prepared bike, entry fees, tyres/spares package all delivered by the factory-backed race team run by T3 Racing. If the winning rider is aged over 32, they will receive a Triumph Daytona 675R.

New for 2012 is the addition of the TTC Rookie Cup, which will go to the most promising newcomer to the series, winning them free entry to the 2013 TTC season.

The registration fees for the Triple Challenge series in 2012 will be £13,332 plus VAT and includes the purchase of a Triumph Daytona 675, which the rider keeps at the end of the season. The fees also include the required race parts needed to convert the machine from road to race trim, entry fees for all nine rounds (with two races per round), support on suspension set-up and assistance from a race engineer, media coverage and the benefits of the Triple Challenge Academy. Riders in the championship have the option to be housed in the Triumph Village - where riders prepare their bikes and undertake maintenance each race weekend. For 2012 riders will also benefit from hospitality facilities within the Triumph Village.
